Static Recrystallization Behavior and Texture Evolution during Annealing in a Cold Rolling Beta Titanium Alloy Sheet

In this study, the cold rolling microstructure and static recrystallization mechanism of high strength titanium alloy Ti-3.5Al-5Mo-6V-3Cr-2Sn-0.5Fe were systematically investigated. Results show that is mainly composed elongated deformed ? grains containing micro-shear bands. After annealing at 815 °C for 2 min, fine SRXed are observed, concentrated in band, grain boundary interior grain. The sub-grain structure obtained by recovery inside produces continuous SRX during treatment. Meanwhile, geometric discontinued also observed large trigeminal boundaries, respectively. Many ultra-fine appear exhibiting a phenomenon band assisting SRX. With increase holding time, significantly refined degree continuously improved. addition, behavior results significant change fiber texture. extension texture type evolves gradually, with {111} <112> ?-fiber to weak ?-fiber, ?-fiber, Goss-fiber.
